Winter Service Rates
Keep your shred sled in shape so you can keep sliding cool for future seasons to come. Luckily, Avalanche not only has the best snowboard rentals in Breckenridge - we also provide top-notch care and service for your boards. Check out our maintenance rates:
Full Service Tune, "The Works": $80 Per Board
Full Service Tune: Restore your bases to like-new condition and dial them in for current local Breckenridge snow and temperature conditions.
Service includes: We start with a base sanding, fill in blemishes (p-tex), do a final sand, base the structure, and use either a Montana Crystal Glide Finish or a Wintersteiger Micro Finish (stone grind). We also do side-edge sharpening and base-edge beveling with Montana HTT machines. Then, we apply hot wax and polish to a glimmering sheen.
Local Tune: $70 Per Board
Machine Tune: This is the same service as the Full Service Tune in that we will still grind, structure, and wax your snowboard appropriately to current conditions. However, we don’t fill blemishes (no p-tex work) with this service.
Hot Wax: $25
Infrared Hot Wax, "Wax Future": Hot wax penetrates the base(s) of your board, allowing for better longevity and performance. We select the wax that will work best for our current conditions. Then, we use infrared technology to achieve deep wax absorption into your base(s). Lastly, our pro techs will polish your board(s) to a high luster. Sweet.
How to Rent
You know what they say - proper preparation prevents poor performance. So, here are some tips to bear in mind before you start rockin' the Rockies:
Book in Advance: Rentals fly off the shelves, especially during peak seasons. Don't get left behind. Book your snowboard rental early. Reserving your snowboard rental in advance also allows you to land the best gear without the hassle of last-minute availability issues.
Know Your Stats: Have your height, weight, and shoe size ready when you arrive or book online. This information will help us quickly outfit you with the right equipment for you.
Dress Appropriately: While we take care of the gear, make sure to dress in water-resistant clothing and wear appropriate snow boots. Comfort and warmth are paramount to enjoying your time on the slopes.
About Our Reservation Process
Reservations must be submitted no later than 48 hours before your first day hitting the snow. However, if you give us earlier notice, we'll give you a 20% discount. Also, if you're boarding five consecutive days, we'll give you the sixth day free!
But what if you get a wild hair and miss the 48-hour reservation window? No worries. We happily accept walk-in rentals after 5:00 p.m. for the following day.
Bonus tip: The best time to get your gear without a reservation is after 6:00 p.m. the day before or between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. the day of. We're open 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. every day during the season.
